    Presentation Description:

    Tony Renning and Chad Wade, attorneys with Strang, Patteson, Renning, Lewis & Lacy, s.c., attorneys will make their provide an overview of the changing legal landscape to the Oshkosh Area SHRM Chapter at the group's December chapter meeting.

    Tony and Chad will provide an overview of state and federal legal developments during the past year  – including a review of the most significant labor and employment law-related decisions (both from the courts and administrative agencies) as well as the impact on human resource professionals.  

    Tony and Chad will also provide an overview of pending and contemplated labor and employment law-related legislation and guidance (state and federal), and anticipated decisions (both from the courts and administrative agencies) with a focus on the impact on human resource professionals.

    Tony Renning is a founding shareholder of Strang, Patteson, Renning, Lewis & Lacy, s.c. who concentrates his practice on labor and employment law as well as school/higher education law, litigation and counseling.  He provides advice and counsel to employers as to their rights and obligations under federal and state laws and regulations. Tony advises clients on all aspects of labor and employment compliance, including wage and hour, labor relations, leaves of absence, discrimination, harassment, reductions in force, work force management, employment policies and handbooks as well as other labor and employment law-related matters.  His primary client base includes private and public sector employers of all sizes.

    Chad Wade is a shareholder with Strang, Patteson, Renning, Lewis & Lacy, s.c. who concentrates his practice on working with school/higher education clients as well as private and public sector employers.  He provides counsel on a variety of labor and employment matters, including legal compliance and defense of employers under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), National Labor Relations Act (NLRA) and employment discrimination laws.  He also has experience drafting and implementing a wide range of employment policies. Prior to joining Strang, Patteson, Renning, Lewis & Lacy, s.c. Chad was employed by the City of Fond du Lac as the Assistant City Attorney/Human Resource Manager.

    Cancellations are accepted up to one (1) day before the program.  Substitutions are allowed. If you RSVP and fail to show, you will be invoiced accordingly.
