    Presentation Description:

    This presentation will be an interactive event where the SHRM members will be provided an overview of a Coaching Culture, also known as a Deliberately Developmental Organization (DDO).  The DDO approach was born out of a need to cope with volatile and quickly changing environments.  By decentralizing and pushing leadership down into the lower levels of organizations, the whole team adapts rapidly which is the name of today’s business game.  The result has been step changes in employee performance, attraction and retention, as well as exponential growth in sales and revenues.  The SHRM members will be given the opportunity to participate in case studies that explore effective ways to apply DDO ideas.  The goal is for the SHRM members to leave with applicable tools and strategies that can be implemented straightaway.

    Speaker(s):

    Allison Garner is the founder of Align Coaching, LLC, which specializes in creating coaching cultures within organizations.  Her clients have big hearts and big ideas, which means they play a BIG game.  They have a growth mindset, relish leaning into their edge and strive to become better versions of themselves.  Put simply: her clients think differently.  They use their coaching work with her to shatter the barriers that stand in their way and receive the support and resources needed to continually operate outside of their comfort zone.

    Prior to coaching, Allison was a chemical engineering consultant and vice president of a small engineering firm.  After her nearly 20 years of consulting work with domestic and international clients in the mostly male dominated oil industry, she shifted her focus to more meaningful work and human impact.  On the personal side, she has been married for 19 years and has two wonderful kids.  She is also an elected member of the Oshkosh School Board and is currently serving as the President.
